Rollers

Rollers are the main tool for rolling mill rotating in the bearings mounted in the housing of the operating stand. Forming a caliber and executing the main rolling operation, the rollers directly contact with metal forming required shape and sizes. Fixed lines, rollers, drive discs and discs without drive are used as an auxiliary (guide) tools.

Transmission for operating rollers can be accomplished in several ways. Most widespread are group drives when the rolling moment from the engine is transmitted through the gear stand, which at the same time decreases rotating speed to desired level.
